Job Overview: As a Process Engineer (Refining) within our In-Kingdom Liquids to Chemicals Business & Project Development Department, you will be instrumental in driving the development and execution of capital projects in the refining and chemical businesses. Join our team and lead the way in refining operations, technology analysis, and integration planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Refining Process Development:

   • Develop refining processes, yields, feed and product qualities, and operating costs for process configurations relevant to refinery units.
   • Provide support for process licensor evaluation and selection, technology analysis, and recommendations.

2. Integration Planning:

   • Develop integration plans for existing refineries with Upgrader Complexes, ensuring safety and process compliance.
   • Analyze and recommend best practices for integration and operation of combined facilities.

3. Operation Readiness:

   • Develop operational readiness, pre-commissioning, and commissioning instructions and procedures in consultation with licensors and contractors.
   • Provide technical support for the safe and efficient operation of refinery units, particularly Residue Upgrading Complexes.

4. Optimization and Synergy:

   • Optimize plant operations to achieve productivity and reliability goals.
   • Participate in process optimization and synergy between refinery and petrochemical facilities.

5. Technical Support and Training:

   • Provide technical support for capital projects involving refinery units at various stages of the project life cycle.
   • Engage in training and coaching of younger engineers.

6. Market Analysis and Business Growth:

   • Analyze the market and identify opportunities for business growth.
   • Conduct research on competitors to identify opportunities for new products.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience with a focus on refining operations and engineering phases, particularly for Residue Upgrading units.
• Experience in Linear Programming (LP) & Economics Modeling is advantageous.
