Job Overview
As a Mechanical Engineer Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the Kingdom Liquids to Chemicals Development (IK LTC) program. This program focuses on the production, shipping, and marketing of low carbon hydrogen and ammonia, providing alternative routes-to-market for our valuable oil and gas resources. Your responsibilities will include driving flawless project delivery, participating in refinery and petrochemical unit operations, and providing technical expertise throughout various project stages.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your duties will encompass:
- Providing technical support for petrochemical unit operations, from readiness assessments to performance acceptance tests.
- Participating in standards reviews to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Developing coherent design documents, inspection protocols, and installation procedures for piping and rotating equipment.
- Contributing to process optimization and synergy between refinery and petrochemical units.
- Conducting research on emerging technologies and industry regulations.
- Providing technical input to economic modeling and capital efficiency assessments.
- Liaising between project management and technical disciplines to ensure integration across all project stages.
- Managing interfaces between internal and external parties, including equipment vendors.
- Participating in project studies such as HAZOP and SIL Studies.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with advanced degrees preferred.
- At least 15 years of experience, with a focus on refining and petrochemical operations.
