Job Overview:

Aramco seeks a seasoned Electrical Engineer to join the In-Kingdom Liquids to Chemicals Business & Project Development Department. This role is integral to driving the development and execution of the In-Kingdom Liquids to Chemicals capital program, ensuring seamless project delivery from initiation to handover. The department spearheads the East HUB Project Development under the Liquid to Chemicals Program (LTC), overseeing project assessment and requirements delivery throughout various phases.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop refining processes, including yields, feed and product qualities, and operating costs, for process configurations relevant to refinery units, providing support for process licensor evaluation and selection.
  • Provide technical support and develop integration plans for existing refinery operations with the Upgrader Complex, ensuring compliance with safety and process standards.
  • Utilize expertise in refinery and petrochemical processes integration to analyze and recommend optimal integration methods for combined facility operation.
  • Lead the review of engineering documents during project phases, including pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC, actively participating in technical discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Develop operational readiness management plans, project delivery strategies, and operational philosophies for refinery units.
  • Engage in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, developing instructions and procedures in consultation with licensors, contractors, and vendors.
  • Optimize plant operations to enhance productivity and reliability, participating in process optimization and synergy initiatives between refinery and petrochemical facilities.
  • Provide technical input for capital projects involving refinery units, particularly in residue upgrading complex projects, across various project lifecycle stages.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies, regulations, and market trends, identifying opportunities for business growth and product innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing technical support for linear programming (LP) and economics modeling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial models.
  • Liaise between project management and technical disciplines to facilitate integration across all project phases, ensuring scope, risks, and interfaces are effectively managed and documented.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, with a preference for an advanced degree.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in refining operations and engineering phases, with a focus on residue upgrading, such as Ebullated Bed and VGO hydrocracking units.
  • Experience in Linear Programming (LP) and Economics Modeling is advantageous.
