Job Overview

As a recognized company expert in the chemical business, the IK Liquids to Chemicals Development Admin Area is developing the production, shipping, and marketing of refined products, chemical liquids, and chemical solids as an alternative route-to-market for our oil and gas resources. The Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive supply chain strategy for one or more integrated refinery and petrochemical complexes. This role acts as a technical consultant and subject matter expert in supply chain management and logistics, leading the development of supply chain strategy, including customer/product mix analysis, customer/product segmentation, channels-to-market, capital investment, and sourcing decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Feedstock & Products Supply Chain & Logistics Specialist, you will:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy for integrated refinery and petrochemical complexes.
  • Interact daily with different organizations to interpret, analyze, and act on their needs related to supply chain management, logistics, pipeline systems, and infrastructure.
  • Review plans and deliverables for new integrated refinery and petrochemical projects to ensure compliance with company standards, regulations, and industry codes.
  • Develop philosophies for OSBL/ISBL interconnecting pipelines for products and feedstocks from marine to the refinery and petrochemical facilities and vice versa, including feedstock cross-country pipelines (e.g., Ethane, Crude).
  • Participate in prefeasibility/feasibility studies, pre-FEED/FEED design phases, and EPC studies for refinery and petrochemical projects.
  • Act as a technical consultant and subject matter expert in supply chain management and logistics.
  • Develop, review, and analyze engineering documents related to supply chain, logistics, utilities, and infrastructure for refineries and petrochemical complexes, including marine terminals, jetties, berths, logistics hubs, liquids and solids handling centers, in-bound and out-bound pipelines, rail systems, trucking, intermediate storage tanks, warehouses, packaging, and extrusion.
  • Develop and review design documents and philosophies for shared/common services supporting refinery and petrochemical projects, including buildings, control rooms, laboratories, fire stations, fire water systems, telecommunications, housing, and community facilities.
  • Run economic models and read linear programming models, analyzing financial and economic metrics such as IRR, NPV, PI, cash flow analysis, and EBITDA.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain or an Engineering discipline (chemical or mechanical engineering).
  • At least 15 years of experience in the refining and petrochemical industry with knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes and their associated infrastructure, utilities, and services.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Strong commercial/business acumen and negotiation skills, with experience in commercial negotiations and project development for third-party business model projects such as BOO, BOOT, etc.
  • Knowledge of supply chain operation and management in refineries and petrochemical complexes, including marine terminals, jetties, logistics hubs, pipelines, rail systems, trucking, and product handling.
  • Experience in prefeasibility/feasibility studies, pre-FEED/FEED design phases, and EPC studies for refinery and petrochemical projects.
  • Experience in negotiating MOUs, supply agreements, joint development agreements, definitive agreements, and other commercial aspects for supply chain systems and logistics, utility systems, and infrastructure.
